In accordance with the FGIA Bylaws the 2025 Election Cycle solicitations will open on June 1, 2025 and close at 5:00 pm (est) on June 30, 2025.  If you are interested in seeking election for any of the following positions and meeting the listed criteria, you must complete a Election Application.

• President Qualifications: Must have previously held an elected position on the Board of Directors; must be a regular member in good standing, be employed full-time by their agency within the state of Florida and maintain said employment.  Must have the support of their employing agency for a two (2) year commitment to the Florida Gang Investigators Association.

  North Central Regional Director Qualifications:  (Columbia, Dixie, Franklin, Gadsden, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor, Wakulla) Must have been an active member of the Florida Gang Investigators Association for one (1) year; must be employed full-time within their represented region and maintain said employment. Must have the support of their employing agency for a two (2) year commitment to the Florida Gang Investigators Association.

  Central East Regional Director Qualifications: (Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Martin, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, St. Lucie, Volusia)  Must have been an active member of the Florida Gang Investigators Association for one (1) year; must be employed full-time within their represented region and maintain said employment. Must have the support of their employing agency for a two (2) year commitment to the Florida Gang Investigators Association.

  Southwest Regional Director Qualifications: (Charlotte, Collier, Lee, Manatee, Sarasota, Desoto, Glades, Hendry, Highlands,Okeechobee) Must have been an active member of the Florida Gang Investigators Association for one (1) year; must be employed full-time within their represented region and maintain said employment. Must have the support of their employing agency for a two (2) year commitment to the Florida Gang Investigators Association.

  The following regions are open for a one-year appointment until the 2026 Election Cycle ( August 2025-July 2026)

  North West Regional Director Qualifications: (Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, Washington) Must have been an active member of the Florida Gang Investigators Association for one (1) year; must be employed full-time within their represented region and maintain said employment. Must have the support of their employing agency for a two (2) year commitment to the Florida Gang Investigators Association.

  South Regional Director Qualifications: (Broward, Dade, Monroe)  Must have been an active member of the Florida Gang Investigators Association for one (1) year; must be employed full-time within their represented region and maintain said employment. Must have the support of their employing agency for a two (2) year commitment to the Florida Gang Investigators Association.

 Board Member Expectations Qualifications and Requirements

 All Board of Directors members shall attend two (2) annual board meetings, (January and June) and the Annual Training Conference (August). 

All applications are due by 5:00 pm on June 30, 2025. Voting will occur July 4 -July 14, 2025.
