The Florida Gang Investigator’s Association (FGIA) was formed in 1993, by criminal justice professionals, FGIA provides a professional organization for all those within the criminal justice system who share a common goal of intervening, preventing and enforcing suppression against criminal gang activity. This mission will be carried out through enhanced inter-agency intelligence exchange, legislative activism, citizen awareness, innovative anti-gang awareness operational tactics and by providing professional education and training.


THE VENUE

This event will take place at the stunning Plaza Historic Beach Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach; a Daytona Beach landmark for over 100 years. At “Daytona Beach’s Grand Resort” you’ll discover a Daytona Beach hotel with a variety of room types and rates to fit any budget and a vast array of resort amenities to meet your every need. You'll receive $12 beverage credit upon check-in, valet or self-parking in our onsite secure parking area, and two large bottles of premium bottled water are just some of the little extras to ensure a memorable visit. You’ll also have access to all other amenities listed below. Whether you’re here for work, romance, play or rest, we’re here to make it your best possible stay

The hotel has a resort fee of $20/night. Please include this in your travel/training planning.
There are no additional fees for parking. There are no complimentary meals provided by the hotel or the association.  Beverages and light refreshments may be provided during the training. PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

FGIA accepts cash, check, credit card and purchase

orders. All payments should be made payable to the

Florida Gang Investigators Association and remitted to FGIA - Conference Registration 2220 CR 210 West, Suite 108, PMB 329, Saint Johns, FL 32359. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to membership@fgia.com by June 1, 2017, to receive a full refund. All cancellations are subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee. Refunds after this date will be determined on a case-by-case basis.


Substitutions may be made at any time. In the event of a substitution, please email membership@fgia.com. Please include the registrants name you are canceling and the new registrants full name and agency email address.

Tenitive training topics include: Gangs and Mental Health Disorders, Violent Video Games and the Battle of Social Science Experts, Home Visit Safety: How to Visit Gang Members “On Their Turf”,Gangs and the Hip-Hop Culture, Human Trafficking, Gang and Human Trafficking Case Study, Effects of Domestic Violence on Youth, Active Shooter Training. Thanks to our partnership with Sandy Pines  12 CEU's are available for Florida Board of Nursing, Florida Board of Psychology, the Florida Office of School Psychology, and the Florida Board of Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling through Florida Provider #: 50-946, UHS Youth Services.
